about keshav

My name is Keshav and I'm a junior at UNC majoring in Political Science and Economics with a minor in Computer Science. I am currently serving as the Undergraduate Senate Speaker where I lead our senators in advocating for students on important issues, ensure equity in student government through the oversight process, and am reforming the Senate to be more accessible and functional.

Outside of my involvement in Student Government, I am the captain of UNC Chalkaa, a Bollywood-fusion dance team and dance is something that I’m extremely passionate about. In my free time, I enjoy watching and reading about soccer and also listening to music artists such as Kendrick, Frank Ocean, Adele, Billie Eilish, Childish Gambino, and many more.

After I complete my undergraduate studies, I aspire to go to law school and practice civil rights law for a few years, after which I hope to hold public office and help empower various communities through policy. Once I retire, I want to return to NC and teach high school to give back to the community that has given me so much all throughout my life.

Now enough about me. I want to hear more about you, your journey at Carolina, and what you think would improve your experience as a Tar Heel. You can reach out to me on my Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, which are accessible at the top of this page. I'm running to lead all of us, but also to serve each of you!

Our Vision

The Javvadi Administration envisions a Student Government (SG) that uplifts and engages all students of every background and story. SG is most effective when all voices are taken into account, and we acknowledge that the first step in creating such an inclusive culture has to come from within SG itself. We hope to bridge the gap between the students and administration to create a more empowered and unified student body where the well-being and success of students are prioritized.

We want SG to be the first resource students turn toward when faced with any issues or concerns on campus. We will ensure that the people of SG are an accessible, transparent, and dependable source of support that listens to and serves the students of UNC - the heart of this campaign and the Javvadi Administration. We are all about listening to, informing, and empowering each individual, and we would be ecstatic to have your voice become a part of this movement.
